Since we had already been to Klobenstein, the idea came up to ride the Rittner Bahn. This electrically powered, narrow-gauge, meter-gauge railway on the Ritten high plateau can be used free of charge with the guest card. So we simply got on and enjoyed the ride past green meadows with a great view.

Today we went to a geological peculiarity in South Tyrol: to the Earth Pyramids of Lengmoos. Due to erosion processes combined with stones and clay, these famous hoodoos were formed here. The distant view of the Dolomites and the Seiser Alm was also truly fabulous today. 😍

After considering what to do nearby in the heat, we noticed the Gaulschlucht gorge. The mountain river Falschauer flows here, surrounded by high walls, into the Etschtal valley. The waterfall at the beginning of the path is also a feast for the eyes. 😍

This stop not far from Jena was planned, but it far exceeded what I had expected. Here in Leutratal, where the A4 used to be, there is now an orchid paradise 🥰🥰. For the return trip home, the beautiful route over the Timmelsjoch was chosen. Here you are right on the border between Italy and Germany and it is an impressive point.
