Die Horizontale in Jena ist immer wieder ein echtes ("alpines") Wandererlebnis. Durch die exponierte Lage des Wanderweges bietet sich ein Weitblick über die Dächer von Jena, unter anderem zur Leuchtenburg. Aber auch die Wanderabschnitte abseits der Hanglage führen durch eine schöne Naturlandschaft.

The Dresden Hiking and Mountaineering Association organizes the "Gorbitz Spring Hike" as a sports hike – purely on a voluntary basis – this year already in its 21st edition. Of course, there were other hikers at the start with us, a total of 265.
