After 2 days of continuous rain, when it was only drizzling, we went on a short hike to the Birk. It was so amazing! Hardly anyone out and about, great light (sorry, the photos from your cell phone are never that great) and the whole Konik herd within reach. Very, very nice and only got a little wet feet 😁

It was once again fantastic in the Geltinger Birk. I was able to observe a purple oil beetle. Because of the heavy rain, some of the paths were a real challenge. Nevertheless, it was very beautiful ☺️.

Always a beautiful tour. In the second half there are many fruit trees in the field. Apple, pear, plum, quince and blackberries.

Very nice hike in the Geltinger Birk nature reserve on the Baltic Sea. A really relaxing tour. Unfortunately we didn't see any wild horses.

A shortened circular route via the Geltinger Birk forest, which bypasses the villages but still showcases the most beautiful features. Do you know Kreten? A plum variety that grows there (jelly is available at the worthwhile kiosk). Charlotte windmill, fantastic scenery, and rich birdlife. Great!

We started at the Geltinger Birk hiking car park. There is also a kiosk with a toilet there. Beautiful route with the Charlotte windmill, view of the Flensburg Fjord all the way to Denmark. 👣🦅🇩🇰🌊
