The first third is uphill, then almost all downhill. There are more motorbikes in the south-west of the tour, but there is a wonderful descent in this direction where you can go at a controlled pace. Wonderful :-)

There is a lot of Lahn cycle path on the way there, which in places does not have a very good surface. Quiet and car-free, but there are cyclists and pedestrians. So nothing to speed up.
It is easy to stop off in the towns along the Lahn!
The way back from Wetzlar is a lot of country roads with more car
