The new Leutasch-Wildmoos high-altitude trail is a real highlight for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. The 7.5-kilometer-long trail recreates parts of the 1976 Olympic trail. It is groomed for both classic and skating styles. A special highlight is the free ride on the Katzenkopf lift from Leutasch for cross-country skiers (only valid when the trail is open and you are carrying your cross-country equipment).
The trail runs partially into oncoming traffic and is generally challenging, making it only suitable for experienced skiers. This beautiful trail is a true natural gem and runs between the Katzenkopf mountain station and the A3 Torfstich trail/Wildmoosalm.
