The Gallo-Roman temple district was built on a hill above the confluence of the Wespelbach and Hornbach rivers. It is one of the best preserved Roman cult complexes in North Rhine-Westphalia. The largest extension of the complex is a 100 by 34 meter rectangle from the 4th century AD. The architectural beginnings can be dated to the 1st century AD, the flowering was reached in the 4th century, the destruction was noted for the beginning of the 5th century. Source: Wikipedia
