The GR 36 is one of the longest hiking routes in France. It connects the GR 3 to the GR 6 and links the English Channel to the Pyrenees between the towns of Ouistreham and Mont Canigou. This major 1,916-kilometre (1,190 mi) crossing from the north to the south of France is for experienced walkers. It’s signposted with the famous white and red GR markers.
