As a result of the flood in 2013, the bridge over the Saale between Golmsdorf and Porstendorf was badly damaged. Initially, a renovation of the old bridge was planned, but due to the high degree of damage was ultimately decided for a replacement building as a staff arch bridge. The new bridge has a width of 54 m. The construction required 630 m³ of reinforced concrete and 230 t of steel. The bridge, visible from afar due to the blue color, was officially inaugurated on 24.05.2019 and was named "Gleistal-Saalebrücke".
