The Tour de Grisset is a remarkable historical site located in Fréteval, within the Loir-et-Cher department of France. Standing at an elevation of 103 meters, this ancient structure represents the well-preserved remains of a Gallo-Roman temple, known as a fanum. Nestled on a gentle slope overlooking the verdant Loir valley, it is particularly notable for being one of the few Gallo-Roman fana still standing, and possibly the only one in Europe with its original brick vault intact.
