At an elevation of 5,000 feet, Lynx Lake welcomes a bunch of visitors and different recreationalists every day to its shoreline trails. The eastern side of the lake is known for being rockier and having more technical trails, but it makes up for the slower terrain with better views of the water.

Lynx Lake is located at 5,000 feet elevation and 15 minutes southeast of Prescott. It is an ideal spot for boating, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, sailing and canoeing. With many picnic tables and grills on the South and North shores, it is a great spot for a picnic as well.

From Lynx Lake Southshore, this is the most beautiful section around the lake and the most rugged with a few places to walk up and down boulders. Crossing after rain may be difficult for some.
