The Venus volcano is an extinct Quaternary volcano above the village of Mezina, south of Bruntál. There is a flat crater at the top and side craters with lava caves. Only the red-brown color of the soil reminds us of volcanic activity here. Two lava flows are heading in a northeasterly direction. Its top was destroyed by ash mining in the past.

Zamecky Vrch is a poorly recognizable and visible mountain due to the dense forestation, through which the top also does not offer views.

Drive along a quiet side road with a border crossing between Poland and the Czech Republic. There is a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area at the top. On the Czech side, there is also a built-up shelter where you can relax and even spend a camping trip.

The construction of the transmitter with the observation tower began in 1969 according to Jan Liška's design, and it was completed only in 1980. The total height of the building is 146.5 meters, its tip is the highest (artificial) point in the Czech Republic. From the viewing platform, in addition to the Jesenice peaks, you can also see the Krkonoše Mountains with Sněžka, the Beskydy Mountains with Lysa Hora, and if the visibility is good, you can also see the High Tatras or Mala Fatra.
