The parish of St. Veit am Vogau was first mentioned in documents in 1163. The baroque church was built in 1749 by master builder Josef Hueber. - Guided tours are offered.

We are almost done with the renovation work on our parish and pilgrimage church of St. Veit in St. Veit am Vogau. The church shines in a new color, the step portal has been redesigned, the landscaped lawn, the flowers and the trees are sprouting. Since the east tower has been attacked by woodworm, the tower plaque with the tower crosses is missing. Every visitor is invited to visit the church, and guided tours of the church are also offered.

For info. The baroque church will be completely renovated on the outside in 2022 and is also scaffolded. Accordingly, it can unfortunately only be seen covered.

The viewing platform serves to avoid disturbing the birds near the shore. Entering the shore area is prohibited by law. Please note this. With the ordinance of the Leibnitz district authority of May 26, 1978, the area between the Mur bridge in Bachsdorf and the Gralla power plant on the Mur was declared a nature reserve (bird sanctuary).
