While partly bordered by residential areas and roads, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mission Trails Regional Park. At capacity, it spans 171.1 acres (69.2 ha) with a maximum depth of 95 feet (29 m) and a shoreline extending 3.2 miles (5.1 km).
