Someone once told me that Hart Side was one of their least favourite Wainwrights! But I think it has some redeeming qualities. I particularly like the view to Blencathra from here.

The path leads across meadows and is very easy to walk. Today, however, we had a very strong SW-wind, so that we cooled properly despite pleasant hiking temperatures (15 degrees) and were happy when pausing over any rock that offered protection from the cold wind. From up here you can see the whole tour. Although in the main season we met here not a single hiker. They all seemed to enjoy Raise and Helvellyn, respectively.

A bit indistinct as far as a good looking hill is concerned but the journey over from Sheffield Pike and onwards towards Green Side is a particularly nice amble. Very gentle and on good paths.
