The Promenade des Anglais stretches for 7 kilometers along the Bay of Angels and its pebble beaches. Built in 1824 at the behest of the English Reverend Lewis Way, it begins between Phoenix Park and Nice Côte d'Azur Airport and extends to the Quai des États-Unis, at the foot of Castle Hill.
