Here you will find some amazing basalt formations. There is a sign with a bit of information. The area along the river is also a great place for bird watching.

The dirt road connects with the asphalt. They are both very handsome on bikes but tough. To get to this place, the two paths are both a long and hard climb.

The waters of the Cogolls stream are filtered and become groundwater in the area. They are enriched with dissolved calcium bicarbonate, which petrifies the plants and shapes the travertines of the waterfall. It is one of the most beautiful pools in the Planes d'Hostoles.

This section of the Via Verde is very pleasant. Lots of shade, very slight slope when not absent and (relatively) far from cars and noise. The ground is good, sometimes there are paths with rocks on the surface but nothing uncomfortable.

Old quarry that was used as a landfill in the seventies. This caused contamination of the river bed and affected one of the best outcropping samples of volcanic materials. The landfill was closed in 1993 and the site was restored.
