Today we headed "east" - an unknown old town with a castle, cathedral and lots of nature - there was no stopping us!!
Naumburg (Saale) combines all of this in a wonderful way!!

Today I finally managed to do the round trip by bike, so far we had only been hiking in this beautiful corner of Saxony-Anhalt.
With the best weather and the odd climb, we mostly went along the Unstrut and Saale.
I really liked the Naumburg Cathedral and the historic brine pumping plant in Bad Kösen with the impressive graduation tower …

On the climb to Fränkenau I even had a few raindrops to refresh me. As a reward, there was almost always a tailwind on the route towards Balgstädt.
